Benton County Mental Health Advisory Council Is Seeking Memebers

Benton County Human services Board will be selecting new members for the Benton County Mental Health Advisory Council. All appointments shall be for a renewable two year term with per diem ($55) and mileage for the council meetings paid. The Benton County mental Health Advisory Council meets four times per year at Lutheran Social Services in St Cloud. The next meeting is at 1 pm on Monday October 22nd. The purpose of the meetings are to review, evaluate, and make recommendations to the Human Services Board regarding the local mental health system. Council members shall have an interest in and knowledge of the local mental health system and in mental illness. All council members must be a Benton County resident or a mental health service provider of Benton County residents.

We are currently seeking representatives for the following positions:

* A parent of a child with a severe emotional disturbance

* Minority Population Representative

* An adult who previously received children’s mental health services

* An adult mental health consumer
