Free Support Group for Concerns Persons

July 3, 2018

Did you know that the Central Minnesota Sexual Assault Center (CMSAC) offers a FREE support group for Concerned Persons?

• Our Concerned Persons Group is for secondary survivors.

• This is for anyone who knows someone close to them whom experienced sexual violence. This could be their child, sibling, partner, significant other, parent, coworker, friend, or perhaps they saw an article in the paper or learned of another community member experiencing sexual violence and wanted to further support this person and process their own feelings about the crime.

• This group is held every third Thursday of the month from 5:00 to 6:30 pm.

• Group topics focus on how to support a survivor of sexual violence, how to take care of yourself as a secondary/concerned person and learn about the impact of trauma.

• Additional topics include: coping skills, healthy relationships, trauma bonds and codependency.

• This group is open to walk-ins and attendance at each group is not required; interested parties can simply attend when they can.

Please help us spread the word on this opportunity for loved ones, friends, co-workers etc. to gain knowledge on how to support primary survivors of sexual violence, while also learning ways to heal and take care of themselves.

Please call (320)-251-4357 with any questions about the Concerned Person Support Group and/or to learn about all the other services CMSAC provides.
