2017 Mental Health Summit

June 23, 2017

Dear Community Partner:

On behalf of St. Cloud VA Healthcare System, I would like to invite you to participate in our 2017 Mental Health Summit.

The purpose of the Mental Health Summit is to enhance the mental health and well-being of Veterans and their family members through increased collaboration between the VA and the community. Our goal is to engage in active dialogue on how we as a community can address the mental healthcare needs of Veterans and their families.

Family members are important in developing a comprehensive plan of care and should be included in each Veteran’s total plan of care. Providing care and support to family members is equally important to each Veteran’s comprehensive plan of care.

The objectives/topics of this year’s discussion at the MH Summits will include Veteran Choice Act, Eligibility, Homelessness/Employment, Military Sexual Trauma, Substance Use, Access, Family/Caregiver Support, Serious Mental Health, Suicide Prevention, and Veteran’s Courts. We will additionally continue conversations from previous years to build upon the collaborations created.

The Mental Health Summit will be held from 8:00-12:30 (registration from 7:30-8:00) on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at the Resource Training & Solutions.

Please RSVP by June 30, 2017 to Julie Wolf at Julie.Wolf@va.gov with the name of your representative and email for that representative. If you have any questions or suggestions, please feel free to contact Julie Wolf by email.

Thank you for your interest.

Sincerely,

Kari Harrum
